Your privacy is important to us. Please read The Metal Initiative’s Privacy Policy below.

The Metal Initiative is committed to protecting your privacy. Any personal information that you provide to The Metal Initiative should be done on a completely voluntary basis. We only use the information that you voluntarily provide to process your requests and/or to provide you with additional information about metal products and services, including purchasing and/or installing metal products. As part of this process, we may provide your information to prescreened third party businesses affiliated with the metal industry that may communicate directly with you. These include metal manufacturers, metal contractors and industry suppliers. In addition, The Metal Initiative may provide aggregate statistics about our web site visitors, traffic patterns and related site and behavior information to metal industry members. Your detailed personal information will not be released for such purposes.

Any personal information you provide will be collected and stored by The Metal Initiative and its electronic business service provider contractees. If you later change your mind and decide that you no longer want your personal information made available to The Metal Initiative, or you wish to be excluded from future email communications from The Metal Initiative, please contact Steve Collins at (401) 942-5640 or use the “unsubscribe” option on the email communication. Also, please understand that once The Metal Initiative has provided your information to third party business affiliates, it can no longer exercise control over subsequent users and their contact with you. In the event that you later decide that you do not want to receive any additional information from a particular business entity, it will be your responsibility to contact that entity and request your removal from its mailing list.

Please keep in mind that whenever you provide personal information online, there is a risk that it may be collected and used by people you don’t know. Although The Metal Initiative strives to protect the personal information of its site users, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you disclose online and you do so at your own risk.

The Metal Initiative is not responsible for the content, requirements, services, performance, policies or any other aspect of these web sites.

When you use The Metal Initiative’s online resources, information may be collected in 3 different ways:

Web Site Traffic – Web site traffic is collected by our web server. It tells us where individuals go on our site, which pages are most popular, how much time users spend in certain sections, etc. It helps us to analyze the effectiveness of our site and guides us in making it a better resource for the users.

Cookies – Cookies allow sites to maintain personal information and/or online history on an individual’s computer. This information, when read by a web server, allows the site to be customized to every user. At this time The Metal Initiative’s site uses cookies to facilitate entry into the website from various marketing initiatives. These cookies do not collect personal information about the user or computer that is accessing our site. The cookie information is not collected by the web server.

Request For Information – An individual can request information from our team by navigating to the appropriate page and entering the personal information requested. In doing so, the user recognizes they are doing so voluntarily. The information collection falls into two categories: That which is required to be certain the information can properly get to the requester, and that which is voluntary and meant to assist the Metal Initiative team with the task of delivering an appropriate response to the requester.

We do not knowingly collect information from children. All requests for information are assumed to be from adults. If we determine that any information has been collected from children, we will do our best to purge it immediately.

As indicated above, The Metal Initiative collects usage statistics from our web server and analysis third party applications providers as one of several analysis methods to make our site and communications more useful to our visitors.

We may analyze the information collected from the Contact Us page as one of several methods to better understand the markets that we serve.

The Metal Initiative may release personal information when we believe, in good faith, that such release is reasonably necessary to (a) comply with the law, (b) enforce or apply the terms of any of our user agreements, or© protect the rights, property or safety of The Metal Initiative, our users, or others.
